Health Tips: Flu-Proof Your Home

Quick post today! I hope you’re all doing well 🙂 I figured since it’s that time of year where people are more prone to picking up a bug id share some tips on how to keep your home more safe. A few easy ideas:

  • Buy Paper Towels: reusable rags and sponges can spread the flu virus around your home. Instead use a clean paper towel for daily chores and run your sponge through the dishwasher at the end of the day!
  • Disinfect Smart. Did you know almost 60% of refrigerater handles, doorknobs, and light switches have tested positive in a home when one is sick… And it can live up to 3 days? Wipe down these areas daily for added peace of mind
  • Keep Linens Clean. To keep germs from spreading when someone on your home is sick wash bedding daily and dry on high heat. And always wash your other linens weekly
  • Wash Smarter. You can reduce illness by 15-50% if you remember to wash your hands before eating, before and after prepping food, post bathroom, and after coughing or sneezing. Wash for 20 seconds or more and always carry sanitizer just in case

That’s all for now! Just figured id share 🙂
