Makeup For Your Mood

I’m a big believer that you should correspond your makeup and outfits to your mood. I was the moody teenager who got scolded for wearing all black every Monday (my version of a funeral for the weekend), I’ll wear a bold eye or lip when going out, and nine times out of ten choose the classic “barely there” makeup to run errands in. Moral of the story: It’s perfectly acceptable and very fun to mix things up a bit.

Here are some looks to satisfy whichever mood you’re in this weekend.

1. Trendy. Whether you’re meeting up with the girls or trying something new for a date, this look is sure to turn heads and exude confidence.

Try: Use a cool blue shadow for a smokey eye, swap out the grey and black (so expected).

Try. Messy beach waves. To look effortlessly amazing. Try Tresemme new shine enhancing cream $7 for the perfect, slightly messy, tousled look. The center part keeps this look trendy and not too “beachy”.

2.Minimalist. Simplicity is key! You’re a busy girl and want your look to be pretty but still mean business.

Foundation: Try an all in one BB or CC cream for moderate coverage, sunscreen, anti-aging, and a natural finish. (I love Clinique’s BB and CC creams which run around 33$)

Blush: A tawny flush is natural, yet still pretty. The most believable ones will have a nude undertone (because who really has pink cheeks?)

An all in one product. Look good on the go with a lip product that doubles as a cheek stain. I love this one by dior which is sheer, but layerable.

3. The seductress. Tap into your inner siren with smooth glowing skin, and lush lashes.

1. Double coverage. Cliniques new beyond perfecting foundation and concealer can be applied allover to even out skin, add a dab more on spots that need extra coverage.

2. Glowing skin. St Tropez tanner has a formula that is non-streaky and natural looking.
