Christmas movies are actually magical, and nostalgic, and just… so addicting! Honestly, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night than binge watching these movies here with a bag of popcorn, a glass of wine, and a big furry blanket!
Here are my favorite 9 Holiday movies on Netflix this year.
There’s something seriously so relate able to Jim Carey’s green character The Grinch. Plus everything about this movie is just so festive. Bonus points for Max the dog, that guy’s seriously loveable.
Guys, this movie here is my jam. I absolutely love it! I originally saw it as a play production with my father and fell hard. I can’t think of a more old-school-romantic Holiday movie than this restored black & white film. Also, Bing Crosby was so darn dreamy back in the day. Swoon.
12 Dates Of Christmas.
This original ABC Family film premiered in 2013 & has quickly become one of my go-to’s. In a nutshell Amy Smart is still nursing a broken heart from a breakup when her mother sets her up on a date for Christmas Eve.. that she experiences 12 days in a row!
OK, so this one isn’t your typical happy family Christmas movie but it does have a good underlying message. It’s deffinitely a nice change from some of the overly sappy movies that I (obsessively) watch this time of year.
Christmas With The Kranks.
This one’s a Holiday must! With an allstar cast and a unique story line it’s one that pleases every member of the family. With their only daughter away at for their first Christmas ever the Kranks decide to take a cruise instead, and refuse to celebrate the holiday … Until their daughter decides to return last minute and the entire neighborhood has to pull together to recreate their annual party!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
It’s funny I’d never even seen this movie before meeting Elliott but turns out his family tradition was to watch this hilarious movie… as much as possible. I’m talking about full on quotes for the whole movie. It’s your typical American family that is attempting to keep it all together against all odds… in laws, broken lights, and trees that don’t quite fit in the house. This one will keep you laughing from start to finish.
It’s A Wonderful Life.
You don’t get a better story than this one here. I think this movie could make just about anyone appreciate what they have and really reminds you what the holiday season is really about: Family.
The Santa Clause… 1, 2 & 3!
Because you can never have too much hot cocoa!
Buddy the elf is Christmas impersonated… Watching him go from the North Pole to NYC in hopes of finding his father on the Naughty List is basically the best thing. Somehow I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times and it still never gets old!
Basically I could go on and on about Holiday movies but I’ll stop here!
What’s your favorite move?!?!?
