Winter Weekday Wardrobe

III know about you, but i’ve been very
, VERY cold in upstate NY! This all reminded me that i’ve been meaning to post my take on winter’s trendiest looks. Better late than never right?

Aside from this quick post, tonight is all about wine, my guilty pleasure Chicago PD, and home made healthy fish and chips (keep an eye out for the recipe in an upcoming post)

Winters coolest looks. No pun intended.

G.I. Jane: Military looks come and go when it comes to fashion. This seasons take includes cargo pockets and “Military green”. Keep it casual with accessories like a simple brown satchel and basic functional watch, because we all know you could just check your phone for the time but what would be the fun in that? Easy cheat: throw on skinny jeans (black preferably), combat boots, a cozy sweater, and a military jacket. Perfectly simple.

(I love this phone case)

If you don’t wish to use combat boots, simple loafers being an unexpected twist and tie this look together.

Barbie Girl: sugar, spice, and everything.. sexy? This season keeps bubble gum pink causal by adding sporty touches like mesh (as seen in Versace.) Go all out with a head to toe look, or add accents like a pink structured bag or watch. Either way: all eyes on you.

Modern mini. Two words that don’t usually mix: winter and mini. This season stay warm and fashionable by pairing a sweater (preferably patterned) with a shimmering mini skirt. Pair with a simple bag and mid calve length heels. The key: do not, i repeat, do NOT tuck sweater into your skirt. The idea is to see just a slip of skirt under your sweater.

All of these looks can apply to all shapes, sizes, and colors. Enjoy!
